At PrintTrix, we’re committed to promoting environmentally responsible practices in line with U.S. e-waste management guidelines. While we currently operate as an online-only printer and accessory retailer and do not accept returned electronic waste (e-waste), we strongly support sustainable disposal methods and responsible recycling.
What Is E-Waste?
E-waste, or electronic waste, includes discarded electronic devices such as:
- Old or non-working printers
- Ink cartridges
- Scanners
- Computer accessories and cables
Improper disposal of e-waste can lead to environmental harm, including the release of toxic substances into the soil and water.
Our Role in E-Waste Responsibility
As an online business, PrintTrix does not collect, recycle, or dispose of used electronics or printer hardware directly. However, we encourage all our customers to dispose of electronic devices safely and responsibly through certified recycling programs.
U.S. Compliance & Consumer Guidance
Even though we don’t handle e-waste, we support federal and state efforts like:
- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) eCycling program
- State-level e-waste laws in California, New York, Illinois, and others
- Responsible disposal through R2- or e-Stewards-certified recyclers
You can find a certified e-waste drop-off or mail-in program near you using the EPA’s eCycling directory:
